To commemorate the program's milestone, the organizing committee comprising of the director and professors in the educational technology program put together an event for alumni, staff, and students to gather and celebrate this occasion.

Cocktail Reception
At the time, I had completed my first semester in the program and attended an alumni cocktail reception with fellow students. Meeting and networking with individuals was exciting. Getting the chance to meet other students in the program also helped to establish connections.
Pre-Conference Workshop
As part of the celebrations, pre-conference workshops took place. I was contacted by one of my professors to showcase an educational game created by myself and another fellow student from our Learning Theories course. We were delighted to be invited and gladly accepted to set up and display the game that allowed attendees the opportunity to play it.
